To ensure a flush finish, rebates have been
cut into the underside of the thresholds, to accommodate the brackets.
The thresholds are then
fixed to the floor by either nailing through the fixing brackets, or by using
screws and plugs.
The brackets are made from thin metal plate, so that
when they are fixed, the floor covering can then be fitted over the top, concealing their presence.
As an alternative to using the brackets, the thresholds
can be simply fixed to the floor using a strong adhesive such as 'liquid nails'.
